Spend a few days or more in one of our new gîtes at La Haute Grange - the ideal spot to make the most of your stay in Alsace.
Just an hour from Bâle and Strasbourg, 20 minutes from Colmar and a short hop to the highlights of the Alsace Wine Route - Kaysersberg, Riquewihr, Colmar...
We are tucked away at the end of a little cul-de-sac with wonderful views over the surrounding trees and hills from the garden - the perfect place to relax after a day out.
We renovated this 1834 farmhouse in 2007 to create a contemporary home while retaining many original features.
After 15 years of offering Bed&Breakfast to our guests we have created 2 very comfortable holiday rentals (gites)
The Chataignier ( named after our big chestnut tree in the garden) has 2 double bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, 2 sitting rooms and a large eat-in kitchen .
Make yourself at home , enjoy a cuppa from our Nespresso tea & coffee machines, or a glass of wine from the mini-bar curl up in front of the fire with a book from our Library / TV room .
Enjoy the garden and patios to relax after a day of sightseeing ... and the view is wonderful.

Le Cerisier is perfect for 2 guests.
A cosy sitting-room with dining area, comfy armchairs and soothing colours . A well-equipped kitchen , a double bedroom with ensuite shower room and separate toilet. And outside your private patio with stairs down to your garden area and "summer house" - ideal to linger when the sun goes down.....
Each gite is completely private with own car parking, entrance, garden and patio.
You will no doubt have travelled many miles to come to us. Once you get here you won't need to go very far to see the Best of Alsace.
Kaysersberg, Riquewihr, Eguisheim, a short hop from La Haute Grange, are among some of the prettiest villages in France.
Colmar, Strasbourg too are a short drive from La Haute Grange. And don't miss the Château du Haut Koenigsbourg or even a day trip to Freibourg in Germany just across the Rhine ...
Another day trip idea - The Wine Route and the Route des crêtes des Vosges offer amazing panoramas.
Need some fresh air ? - there are some wonderful walks and hikes either directly from the house or drive a bit further into the hills.
We'll provide maps and suggestions for lunch stops at one of the many ferme-auberges.
Or just sit in the garden and enjoy the peace & quiet ... and the view.
Welive on the top floor of the house and will be happy to help you plan your days, prepare a meal for you to enjoy "chez vous" or enjoy a glass of wine and a chat together .....

- -GPS : 48° 10' 41.56 N - 7° 12' 02.63 E (if your GPS directs you via RIBEAUVILLE, take no notice and reprogramme to arrive via KAYSERSBERG). In FRELAND head for the RENAULT garage - turn into rue de la Chaude Cote just next to the garage - we are then 1.5 kms further on - lots of signs on the road as you come up through the woods. DO NOT take the tunnel to Ste Marie Aux Mines. Arrive by the "Col du Bonhomme".

Gîte le Châtaignier
Inspired by the cinnamon in our breakfast spice cake - Cannelle in shades of taupe and cream is our most spacious bedroom with views over the garden & towards the hills. King size bed (180 x 200) or 2 twins (90 x 200). Large walk-in shower.
