Manoir de Kerlédan is a charming and relaxed 15th century country house situated near the scenic and cultural town of Carhaix, in Finistère, Brittany.
It is the perfect venue to relax and unwind, and also a great base for sightseers and the more adventurous cyclists and walkers alike.

Set on the southern edge of Carhaix-Plouguer in central Brittany, Manoir de Kerlédan a 15th century manor house, is an oasis of peace and tranquility, lying in 7 acres of its own grounds.

From a dilapidated ruin in the mid 1990's, the old house has gradually been restored, retaining its lovely arches, huge granite fireplaces and lime plastered walls, to be transformed into a luxurious comfortable home.

Behind it's sculpted stone facade, dating back to around 1490, lies a warmth of hospitality, where Penny and Peter offer stylish, country house, bed and breakfast accommodation in its tranquil surroundings.

Manoir de Kerlédan offers 4 Bed and Breakfast bedrooms in the manor house, 3 on the first floor and a fourth on the second floor, each with their own private bathroom/shower-room. Each room is individually and elegantly furnished to a high standard and overlooks either the Baroque courtyard or the rear parterre and rose garden.
The bedrooms are large and comfortable, with crisp white linen sheets, on comfortable beds and luxurious en-suite facilities.

Its grounds, once an overgrown jungle of fallen trees and brambles, have been rescued and replanted with hedges, lawns and gardens.
Formal box parterres and pleached limes adorn front and rear courtyards, whilst the cutting garden and potager provide a bountiful supply of fresh flowers, fruit and vegetables for the household.

Penny a keen cook, likes nothing better than entertaining guests and producing delicious meals, using our home grown organic produce and fresh locally sourced food.
On sunny summer evenings, we enjoy aperitifs outside on a table overlooking the courtyard, or on cooler nights a candlelit supper by the warmth of a roaring log fire.

One of the advantages of Carhaix's central position in Brittany, is the vast choice available if you want to explore the region more thoroughly; with river, woodland and coastal scenery, historic towns, chateaux, abbeys gardens, culture and music, plus sporting facilities, all within an hour's drive.

Stay the weekend, or a week. Gather friends or family, for a fun, sociable house party, or take the opportunity for a peaceful, romantic break for two.

Whatever your choice, Manoir de Kerlédan, is a wonderful peaceful place to leave behind the hustle and bustle of everyday life and recharge your batteries.

After coming off the slip road, you pass the new Chineese milk factory then come to a roundabout on the eastern edge of Carhaix. Take the last exit (3 rd) off the roundabout heading west towards the town. After 100 metres there is a mini roundabout, where you go straight on, then after about 1 km, you come to another larger roundabout, with a stone hut and water feature on it, where you take the 3 rd exit. This passes a Citroen garage on the left before coming to another roundabout (3 musicians’ sculpture) where you go straight over. Head strait on down the hill, with the theatre 'Espace Glenmore' on the left, a Toyota garage and 'Point Vert', a garden centre on the right. At the next mini-roundabout, about 100 metres after Point Vert, take the 3 rd exit (left). This lane leads south into the countryside and the driveway up to Manoir de Kerledan is located about 300 metres on your right. Look out for the white signs. There is parking space at the end of the house, then please come around to the front door in the courtyard. It takes approximately 2 hours from Rennes to Carhaix.
