La Ferme aux Arts
In the very heart of the village, this old farm has been a farmstead to several families over many decades.
Now a cultural centre in a rural environment dedicated to range of artistic expression: musical, pictorial and new technology, La Ferme aux Arts regularly holds exhibitions and concerts by reputed artists.
In parallel to its artistic endeavours, La Ferme aux Arts also provides four contemporary bed and breakfast rooms within the rustic setting of these former farm buildings. The whole concern has been restored and now comprises of 4 bed and breakfast rooms as well as a large venue devoted to art and culture. There is also a dining room opening out onto a courtyard and shady gardens of 1 hectare. Rooms are available for 79€ for two people.
Chocolate, fuchsia, crimson or lime… each room has its own colour scheme, making the most of the warm tones, materials, nooks, crannies and exposed beams. Each is equipped with internet access and memory form beds. The bathrooms, lit by lightwells, are decorated to complement the bedrooms.
Chambre Carmin: overlooks the courtyard. This room, with crimson as the dominate colour is reached via a lounge area furnished with a light wood sideboard and leather armchairs. The WC is separate from the bathroom, which is equipped with a bath and oak flooring providing a warm and cosy feel. There is a double bed (160 x 200cm) or two singles (80 x 200cm).

La Ferme aux Arts is close to the world famous vineyards of Burgundy, the Côtes de Beaune and the Côtes de Nuits, and just a stone’s throw from the Côtes Chalonnaises(Givry, Mercurey, Montagny) or the Mâconnais (Pouilly-Fuissé, Saint-Veran, Lugny). In the vicinity, by visiting the basilica of St. Philibert in Tournus or the churches of Chapaize or Brancion, you will be struck by the spirituality that permeates these jewels of Romanesque architechture. Less well known, are the chateaux of Bazoches, Cormantin or Ferté, they form part of the rich heritage where Mme. de Sévigné, Lamartine or even Colette came to wind down.
If you prefer water-based activities, the lakes at Laives offer moments of relaxation and many options for walkers. Burgundy certainly isn’t just for lovers of fine wines and art and the activities available are as varied as its landscapes.
