BLUETS ET BRIMBELLES
Overview
Your charming getaway in Alsace...
Bluets et Brimbelles, bed and breakfast, pastry workshops and tasting, hiking and private tours in a 2CV and Light Fifteen.
Catherine welcomes you in her fully renovated farmhouse, dating 1753 and in the family since its building... 10 generations ago. It features 4 comfortable guest rooms and a cake lab.
Our house is located in Saulxures, a small village in the heart of the Bruche Valley surrounded by the beautiful Alsatian mountains.
Surrounded by forests in a lush, green setting, you are in a different kind of Alsace, in the heart of the Vosgian mountains. To discover the region, hike, learn to bake or simply to rest in a relaxing countryside, Bluets et Brimbelles welcomes you...
Our 4 guest rooms each have a different style, where old-style oak floors and pine wood create a warm and cosy atmosphere. Each room is fitted with an ensuite private bathroom including a shower and a teck wooden floor, as well as separate toilets.
Free WiFi is available throughout the house, including on the terrace.
Feel free to have a rest in the 1.1 acre garden, while enjoying a beautiful view on the surrounding mountains.
The most curious of our guests will identify wild plants (fir trees, larches...) as well as apple, cherry, pear and walnut trees, and even discover the difference between bluets and brimbelles !
Each morning, Catherine will prepare for you a full breakfast (included), featuring home-made pastries and local products of course.
Dinner is served every evening on request. Catherine draws inspiration for her cuisine in various places of the world where she lived or enjoyed travelling. She likes to link Alsatian traditions to international food culture...
On warm summer evenings, you will enjoy a meal on our terrace with a beautiful view on the surrounding fir trees.
On-site baking courses and sale of pastries upon order.
Private tours in a 2CV and Traction Avant are organised from the house : come and discover the hidden gems of our Bruche Valley in an iconic French car ! Full details are available on our website.
Discounts are available from 2 nights. Children welcome from 10 years old.
A secured parking lot is available for you on site, as well as a garage to shelter your bike or motorcycle.

Guest Reviews
Vivement notre prochain passage...

SUGGESTIONS FOR REVIEWERS
Describe the key elements of the accommodations : decor, hospitality, value, housekeeping, setting, and/or meals. What were the highlights of your stay? A comfortable bed and elegant decor? The convenient location? The delicious breakfasts and afternoon snacks? The hospitality of the innkeepers? Extra amenities and/or advice for business or vacation travel? If in the area again, would you return? Recommend to friends?
Be both honest and fair : We feature various types of accommodation - some more luxurious than others ... Criteria of charm vary from person to person
We offer a wide selection of quality guesthouses for all tastes and budgets
It is not fair to compare a guesthouse that charges €75 a night with a nearby property that charges double or triple that rate.
Things can go wrong in the best of guesthouses, and the difference between an average place and a great one is how the innkeepers address the problem when something unexpected occurs.
Avoid hyperbole : Reviews that include only effusive praise or complete condemnation are rarely helpful or even credible.
Innkeeper responses : There are at least two sides to every story (often three!). The reviews posted on the Charming Guest Rooms website are taken seriously by innkeepers.
We reserve the right for innkeepers to respond to any review.
