Overview
"Aux Bories de Marquay" is quietly located in a small hamlet in the heart of Perigord Noir less than 10 minutes from Sarlat, city of art and beautiful medieval city whose historic center is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
In an old farmhouse typically Perigord, fully renovated in 2018 and equipped with a swimming pool and a Spa 7 places, three double rooms and two master bedroom suites are there to welcome you.
You want autonomy for your meals while being in the magnificent setting of our property and being able to enjoy the spa, a cottage for 4 people is available.
On the property, there are two beautiful bories remarkably preserved (borie dry stone construction that could serve as barn or stable, whose form is included on our logo).
Our central location in the Périgord Noir will allow you to easily access all the points of interest in our region. In 15 minutes, go to the Vézère valley to go back to the time of Cro Magnon: discover the prehistoric ornate caves of Lascaux, Les Eyzies, Combarelles and many others (the valley has 25). If you prefer medieval or Renaissance times, Périgord is also nicknamed the "region of 1001 castles": Beynac, Commarque, Castelnaud among others stretch out their arms to you. Go for a stroll among one of the "most beautiful villages in France" such as La Roque Gageac or Domme. Sports enthusiasts can enjoy superb hikes, canoe trips on the Dordogne or Vézère, or cycling on the Sarlat / Cazoulès greenway.
If you are staying for several days in our guest house, why not take the opportunity to visit the Padirac chasm, Rocamadour, Collonges la rouge, the Bergerac vineyard, ... These prestigious sites are approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes' drive from Les Bories of Marquay.

On the D47, turn right towards Marquay. Then follow the green signs "Aux Bories de Marquay" in a place called La Bouyerie. Do not go to the village, the guest house is 3 km before the center. From Les Eyzies, follow direction Sarlat (D47). Drive about 17km (go beyond the sign "Château Puymartin", do not go up to the castle. Some navigation software wants to take you through a dirt road that cannot be driven over), Turn to your left (crossing in a bend on the D47) , direction MARQUAY. Then follow the green signs "Aux Bories de Marquay" in a place called La Bouyerie. Do not go to the village, the guest house is 3 km before the center.

A hiking path passes in front of our guest house. You can visit the "Chateau de Puymartin", the "Cabanes du Breuil", the "Chateau de Commarque" and many more. Cyclists can take the greenway from Sarlat to Cazoules and stop for a swim on the banks of the Dordogne and visit the Robert Doisneau museum.
