Welcome to the Manoir de la Villeneuve, at Lamballe in the Côtes d’Armor, Brittany.
Our Gîtes and beautiful Guestrooms offer a tranquil stay over a weekend or as a holiday let, allowing you to discover a Brittany that is real, natural and authentic.
We extend you a warm family welcome to our XVIIIth century house.
From the elegant Chambre de Mademoiselle to the regal suite, Un Ange Passe, not overlooking the romantic Mignonne Allons Voir, the mellow Adélaïde’s Garden, and the delicate Rose et Celeste, a refined and elegant atmosphere enfolds this quietly serene Manorhouse.
Breakfast is served in the Grand Salon where wood panelling, old world parquet and dressed stone make a harmonious marriage.
Look straight out of the windows on to the Park.
You can sit back in this airy and spacious room, enjoy an open fire and feel at home with antique furniture and the decorative objects of the past.
We will chime in with your wishes if you want to be quiet and discreet, or more boisterous, as you like.
And, if that suits you, we can always find time to chat over a breakfast, a teatime, or a cordial.
Sit yourself down beside our pool for the space of a siesta, drink in the peace of the garden.. For you benefit and enjoyment the pool is heated from June to September (according to the weather) and there are deckchairs as well as inflatables for the pool.
Go for a stroll and unwind under stately trees. Wander out in springtime to catch the scents, the smell of new-mown grass, the lime trees in flower, the tang of the earth in the underwood and the fragrances in the herb garden.
Our garden is still partially wild, part of its magic.
A stone bench awaits you in the shade of an old apple tree. Amble up the long rides, and skirt the pasture where our two donkeys, Suzette and Sarriette, watch time passing, and come upon our herb garden. Stop wherever your heart dictates.
Time is at rest.
You’ll never see Brittany the same way again.

ADELAIDE GARDEN SUITE
This charming ground floor suite is located in the house next to the Manor itself and decorated with lime-washed walls and quarry tiles, with period wooden fittings. The living room has a convertible sofa to sleep one or two extra people.

CHAMBRE DE MADEMOISELLE
One of the most elegant and romantic rooms. Woodwork of yesteryear and windows dressed in taffeta, chandeliers and gilded mirrors. In an authentic decor it will take you back in the refined atmosphere of the country life in the eighteenth.

MIGNONNE ALLONS VOIR
Welcome to the warm and inviting Mignonne bedroom, with its slanting ceiling under the Mansard roof. It captures the flavour of country life, with its quarry tiles and old parquet, ancient timbers and more than a whiff of bygone times.

ROSE ET CELESTE
Fresh and Tender were our watchwords when decorating this bedroom which is tinged with the fragrance of childhood. With its twin beds, Rose & Celeste recalls sweet memories, confidences and laughter shared. But you may also go for a large double bed.

It is not fair to compare a guesthouse that charges €75 a night with a nearby property that charges double or triple that rate.
