Overview
A former ochre works dating back to the 18th century, the building was converted into a bed and breakfast and art house in 2018.
It was originally the family home of France Gall, the yé-yé singer who won the Eurovision Song Contest in 1965 with "Poupée de cire, poupée de son" writen by Serge Gainsbourg.
Today we are designated a DESTINATION OF EXCELLENCE.
As artists and collectors of contemporary works, we have decorated our walls with paintings, photographs, sculptures, and more in all the lounges and bedrooms.
We love decoration and design, and each room has its own unique character.
Bauhaus, Scandinavian, and vintage furniture come together here to create an authentic and creative atmosphere.
We also organize exhibitions, concerts, and art workshops throughout the year. Table d'hôtes (set menu) is available by reservation 24 hours a day, and when the weather is fine, breakfast and dinner are served in the natural garden.
Our countryside in Puisaye is lush with meadows and forests, a perfect stop for hikers and lovers of heritage and old stones! Visit archaeological sites, caves and churches painted in ochre, the abbeys and castles of Guedelon, Ratilly, and St-Fargeau, the vineyards and cellars of Chablis and Irancy, and on the other side, those of Sancerre! Plenty to keep you occupied for a few days in our lovely corner of the world, untouched by overtourism!

On the ground floor, a southwest-facing bedroom overlooks the park and the small pond. It has an industrial feel with its yellow, grey, and red colours and furnishings. A Colette book-sculpture by Gilles Laburthe is also on display.

An art house with over 150 works by various artists displayed in our lounges and bedrooms, we also host exhibitions, concerts, readings, and creative workshops. On-site and by reservation, we offer workshops in ochre painting, portrait sessions, and makeup and self-image workshops.
Relax & Wellness
Our B&B is situated in a 1.3-hectare nature reserve, perfect for relaxing in a hammock or lounge chair. Learn to do nothing, breathe, watch the trees sway, perhaps spot a deer, meditate on a zafu near the cedar tree—these little things that bring you well-being. We offer Californian and Swedish massages, as well as Tibetan singing bowl sessions

It is not fair to compare a guesthouse that charges €75 a night with a nearby property that charges double or triple that rate.
Things can go wrong in the best of guesthouses, and the difference between an average place and a great one is how the innkeepers address the problem when something unexpected occurs.
