Overview
In 1988, Antoine et Lili de Rocca-Serra opened the charming A Pignata guesthouse near Levie, the village where they were born.
Situated in the heart of the Corsican countryside "A Pignata" is a nature-lover's dream.
Overlooking the majestic Alta-Rocca mountains, it is surrounded by natural forest, rich in most varieties of local trees (such as chestnut, green oak, the "arbousier" and pine).
Here you can either choose to relax and listen to the birds sing or decide to explore the local countryside.
Indoor heated swimming-pool in winter, only for guests of the hotel, is open all year long with an outdoor solarium for the summer months. Bath towels can be rented at the reception.
The region of Alta-Rocca offers exceptional outdoor activities : prehistoric sites, hiking, canyoning, and some of Corsica's most renowned beaches only 30 minutes away.
The guesthouse is ideally located in the middle of southern Corsica with easy access to both the eastern and western coasts plus the south of the island ; you can also head north to discover the mountains.

- Take the D268. If you are coming from Ste-Lucie de Tallano, turn on your left after 6 kms, follow the sign to Cucuruzzu (archeological sites). If you are coming from Levie, turn on your right after 4 kms, follow the sign to Cucuruzzu. After 1.5 km on a winding paved road, turn to your left at the sign "A PIGNATA". Uniquement sur réservation... A l'ombre de la grande terrasse panoramique vue montagne en été ou au coin du feu en hiver, vous êtes attendus pour une découverte unique du terroir corse. Ici, vous ne goûterez que des plats traditionnels, une cuisine familiale simple, dont les recettes se sont transmises de génération en génération.

Vous pouvez randonner seuls ou faire appel à des guides spécialisés qui vous raconteront l’histoire du pays.

Notre maison d'hôtes est située au Coeur de l'Alta Rocca. L'Alta Rocca est une zone de moyenne montagne délimitée par les massifs de Bavella, de l'Ospedale et du plateau du Cuscionu.

5 1Situation magnifique dans les hauteurs à proximité de Levie. Superbe propriété entretenue, batiments parés de belles pierres. Accueil chaleureux. Chambre confortable et parfaitement propre. Petit déjeuner buffet bien fourni, mais manque de la charcuterie Corse. Repas de spécialités Corses succulents, bien servis, dans salle à manger avec magnifique cheminée. Nous conseillons vivement !

It is not fair to compare a guesthouse that charges €75 a night with a nearby property that charges double or triple that rate.
