Overview

The Château du Parc welcomes you to Pézenas, in the Hérault department, close to the Mediterranean. A timeless place with a warm atmosphere that combines letting go, relaxation and regeneration.

15 luxury ecolodge gîtes are available, some with magnificent swimming pools, saunas and private spas, set in 70 hectares of wildly beautiful Mediterranean forest.

With sublime views over the park, large windows, high ceilings, old floor tiles or terracotta tiles, fireplaces or wood-burning stoves in some, each gîte sleeps 2 to 8 people and offers excellent privacy. These charming flats are spacious, open to the exceptional surrounding forest, bathed in natural light, and a great place to get away from it all and reconnect with nature.

To the west of the Château, close to the majestic pine trees, the magnificent 20-meter Bali stone swimming corridor (open from May to October) is the ideal place to relax and swim amid the scents of the Mediterranean. On the pool terrace, sunbeds are available for sunbathing. Sofas dotted around the hundred-year-old pine trees provide a comfortable setting for enjoying a cup of coffee, tea, fruit juice or a glass of wine.

Built in the 16th century by Henri 1st de Montmorency, the Château du Parc is one of the oldest estates in Pézenas. Standing on a hill on the edge of the commune of Caux, the estate reveals its natural charm and elegance, with its main house featuring three slate-covered turrets, its monumental 15th-century fireplace, its chapel (dating from 1900) and its 70-hectare park. A stone wall, 3 meters high and 4 km long, protects the whole. It is the second largest wall in France, after that of the Château de Chambord. Vines were first planted here in the 18th century. It was Charles l'Épine who developed the wine estate. In 1990, Parc l'Épine was one of the forerunners of its time, with the first organically grown vines. Today, a new future is opening up.

For 6 centuries, the Château du Parc has preserved its charm of yesteryear. Inside, the large rooms opening onto the courtyard and park have been preserved to offer you all the comfort you need, while preserving your privacy. The renovation of the site has been conceived as part of a global approach centered on respect for nature and the site's rich heritage: historical, natural and landscape.
