Brin de Cocagne, charming guest house
Overview
t is a little corner of paradise where you can access through an alley of cypress and umbrella pines reminiscent of Tuscany. This old wine farm (early 19th century) will seduce you with its ideal location 15 minutes from Albi, its cathedral and the Toulouse Lautrec Museum, 20 minutes from Gaillac, its vineyards and the Albigensian bastides and 50 minutes from Toulouse "la ville rose". You will be charmed by the beauty and serenity of the place.
Our four spacious and comfortable rooms, decorated with taste and elegance, on the first floor, are invitations to travel and a nod to the history and culture of Albi. They are all equipped with high quality beds (160x200) with organic mattresses and box springs, bathrooms with Italian shower, toilets and reversible air conditioning.
Breakfasts "à la carte" are included. They will be served every morning from 8:30am to 10:00 am on the terrace or in the dining room depending on the weather.
Our Guest table, real round of flavours from here and elsewhere, is offered every day (on reservation 24 hours in advance). Particular care is taken with the dishes offered, simple, balanced and full of flavour.
You will also be seduced by the decoration of the table that Elisabeth likes to set according to the seasons, the dishes and her inspiration of the moment, the Art of the table having been her profession.
Between two excursions, you can stroll by the natural swimming pool or in the large wooded park with a 360° view of the surrounding countryside....As the evening draws in, with a glass of Gaillac wine in hand, you can enjoy the magnificent sunsets from the terrace.
Brin de cocagne is a haven for biodiversity and the many birds that nest there.
If you like hiking, there are plenty of paths around the estate.
All our facilities are environmentally friendly: geothermal heating on the ground floor and reversible aerothermal heating on the first floor, natural swimming pool with vegetal filtration basin.

- Coming from Toulouse: Railway" Autoroute du Pastel "(A68) Exit 10. Lagrave/Cadalen Direction of Aussac. Go through Aussac (D24) towards Fénols and take the road on the left which goes down to the plain. Sign Brin de Cocagne. Coming from Lyon, Clermont Ferrant or Paris on the A75: exit 42. Direction Rodez, Albi (N88) Exit 14 Le Sequestre. Direction of Carlus (D27) and continue on the direction of Graulhet D84. After a large farm, on the right, in a large bend, the road to Brin de Cocagne is on the right (Brin de Cocagne sign).

Our table d'hôtes, a veritable round of flavors from here and elsewhere, is offered to you every day (by reservation 24 hours in advance) for the months of June, July and August. Outside these months, the table d'hôtes is offered on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Menu 30€/pers (one glass of wine included) Before dinner, a welcome drink offered.

It is not fair to compare a guesthouse that charges €75 a night with a nearby property that charges double or triple that rate.
