Chateau de Maudetour
Overview
Located approximately 35 miles West of Paris, the historic Château of Maudetour is situated in the heart of the French Vexin Regional Natural Park, the gateway to the Normandy region.
The classic elegance of the château (constructed during the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries), the peaceful setting of the extensive gardens designed by Le Nôtre, and the quality of the château’s interior features combine to offer a setting of privileged elegance and luxurious comfort.
A gym facility complete with sauna and jacuzzi is located on the basement level of the château itself.
We will do all in our power to ensure that your stay will be exceptional.
For a vacation that combines tourism, culture and history...
Located in a part of France made famous by the Impressionist painters, the Château of Maudetour lies along the route that connects Auvers-sur-Oise (where Van Gogh died and is buried) with Giverny (Monet’s famous country home).
Close as well to such historic sites as the Châteaux of Versailles, Saint-Germain, Ecouen, La Roche-Guyon or the Royaumont abbey, it is an ideal base for exploring the exceptional cultural heritage of France’s Ile-de-France region.
Or for those who seek a more active vacation...
Less than an hour’s drive from Paris, the Château of Maudetour is situated in a region that offers some of the best golfing, fishing, hiking, and hunting in France.
In short, a wide variety of sports and recreational activities is available within the immediate vicinity of Maudetour.

SUGGESTIONS FOR REVIEWERS
Describe the key elements of the accommodations : decor, hospitality, value, housekeeping, setting, and/or meals. What were the highlights of your stay? A comfortable bed and elegant decor? The convenient location? The delicious breakfasts and afternoon snacks? The hospitality of the innkeepers? Extra amenities and/or advice for business or vacation travel? If in the area again, would you return? Recommend to friends?
Be both honest and fair : We feature various types of accommodation - some more luxurious than others ... Criteria of charm vary from person to person
We offer a wide selection of quality guesthouses for all tastes and budgets
It is not fair to compare a guesthouse that charges €75 a night with a nearby property that charges double or triple that rate.
Things can go wrong in the best of guesthouses, and the difference between an average place and a great one is how the innkeepers address the problem when something unexpected occurs.
Avoid hyperbole : Reviews that include only effusive praise or complete condemnation are rarely helpful or even credible.
Innkeeper responses : There are at least two sides to every story (often three!). The reviews posted on the Charming Guest Rooms website are taken seriously by innkeepers.
We reserve the right for innkeepers to respond to any review.
