This is the spot for a cup of coffee or a glass of wine, where a functional bonjour often ends in a pleasant conversation with fellow guests.
Our swimming pool with its comfortable sun beds is the perfect place to read all your holiday books, or to stare quietly at the Provencal sky, to lose yourself in the view over the valley and to savour the delicious pre dinner aromas.
As everyone knows, food and drink play an important role in French everyday life.
In our home we start the day with a leisurely breakfast in the courtyard, accompanied by the sound of crickets.
Lunch is a big event on the many terraces in the villages. Here a quick sandwich is not in fashion. You will find all the delicacies of the region being served, accompanied by a carafe of wine and a coffee to linger over
Several evenings by week in summer, you can enjoy diner at our Table d’Hôtes: beautifully laid tables for 2 or 4, fresh ingredients and carefully selected wines. Dusk falls, candles are lit and dinner magically becomes a romantic occasion.
If you say Provence then you say lavender… And that we have in abundance! Our house is an old lavender farm, like many other buildings here. Wherever you look, you will see fields of lavender. But of course this is also the region of the famous Côtes du Rhône wines and the truffle.
All the little valley and hilltop villages are connected by small country roads and they invite you to take a hike or a cycle tour.
Certainly worth visiting are the castles of Grignan, Montelimar and Suze-la-Rousse, pillars of the local history. A beautiful circuit will bring you through the vineyards to Avignon with its Popes’ Palace.
In short, many excursions to contrast with the quiet life at Le Bois des Dames.

- Domaine Le Bois des Dames is located in the countryside between Chantemerle les Grignan and the Golf de la Drôme Provençale (D471), just 15 km from A7 highway. Most applications like Maps will lead you directly here when you search our name. If not listed in your GPS, here are some directions: - on highway A7, coming from Lyon or from Marseille/Montpellier, exit 18 - at the traffic island after the toll, follow N7 Gap-Nyons (south) till the next traffic island - do a 270° turn in the island to find the road to Grignan and follow this direction for about 10km - when you see a small ( and closed) electrical factory on the left of the road, make a right turn towards Clansayes / Saint Paul - Follow that road, to reach the Drôme provencale Golf course, then turn left on D471 and follow Chantemerle les Grignan - Le Bois des Dames is the second property on your left.

5 3Une pépite à découvrir absolument : maison superbement décorée et entretenue avec amour, chambres grand confort (malgré l'absence de climatisation tout à fait supportable même en août), plein de petite attentions (on apprécie particulièrement le nespresso dans la chambre et les produits de toilette Fragonard bio). La piscine est incroyable : immense, de la place pour chacun, et une vue magnifique ! Petits-déjeuners et dîners au top. Un endroit inoubliable !
Je vous invite à vous y rendre les yeux fermés. Accueil, lieu, calme, sympathie extraordinaire de Clotilde et Arnold. Petits déjeuners parfaits, et vous demandez ce que vous souhaitez, en plus, sans supplément. Convivialité avec les hôtes de diverses nationalités. Magnifique piscine. Bref, prêts à y retourner. Qui plus est ils sont tous les 2 de bons conseils, pour les restaurants ou visites à faire dans les environs...
Hello ! Nous avons eté les 1 ers a etre accueillis chaleureusement dans ce magnifique domaine ! Les hotes dont charmants, cools et tres sympathiques ainsi que le chat et le chien ! D’ailleurs, mister cat Rouroux , n’hesitera pas a vous faire un petit cadeau surprenant ( 😉) si vous lui plaisez ! Le domaine est magnifique, la table est bonne et le tout respire le calme ! Les chambres sont de bonnes proportions et confortables , la plupart conçues de telle maniere que nous avons l’impression d’etres les seuls! Nous esperons bien y retourner ! Merci et a très bientôt 🍀
