The owners of this charming hotel, José Manuel Plana and Patricia Merino, supervise by themselves every detail of the hotel, and the professional and kind staff provides guests with an unforgettable stay at La Almunia.
La Almunia del Valle is market by sensitivity to the environment. In this sense, both workswere undertaken in its construction and in the subsequent amendments improvement and maintenance are carried out the hotel business thinking that produces the least impact for the environment.
Because of this, the quality of service affered can be guaranteed and still the hotel's surroundings an be cared for in a beneficial manner.
This small boutique hotel is a restored old Granada country estate. It's a traditional kind of building in the area of Sierra Nevada, and it was built with great respect for the natural surroundings.
The roofs, all of them plate and walkable, are among its main features.
The terraced main building follows the different heights of the hill housing it, which gives us the sensation of beholding a magnificent show from our own private box.
La Almunia del Valle is 10 minutes away from the city of Granada, which is one the most beautiful destinations in Spain where the traveler will be able to enjoy its gastronomy in the tapa´s bars, its people, its streets, buildings and monuments, among we recommend the famous Alhambra de Granada, an Arabic cultural heritage and a tourist point of interest in Anadalucia and Spain.

- 1A.- From Malaga airport take A92 to Granada, 12 km. before arriving to Granada take exit nº 230- Santa Fe – Granada to Circunvalación (ring road of Granada) - Sierra Nevada 1B.- From Almeria you have to take A92 to Granada, exit nº 241 and then CIRCUNVALACIÓN (ring road of Granada). 2 .- From the “circunvalación” (ring road) take exit nº 132: Ronda Sur – Alhambra - Sierra Nevada. 3 .- You are now in RONDA SUR, take exit nº 2 keep on left lane: Monachil, road A4028 continues on GR3202 4 .- Follow the signs to MONACHIL CASCO ANTIGUO (old town), road GR3202. You will go through a “residential area” (Barrio de Monachil), you must be careful the road bends sharply to the left (right to Barrio Monachil). Keep straight on road for 5,200 Km. to reach MONACHIL CASCO ANTIGUO. 5 .- When you arrive to MONACHIL CASCO ANTIGUO follow signs to La Almunia del Valle, you have to take left at second bridge (restaurant El Molino in front of you) then turn right following river on your right. At third bridge turn sharp right and follow narrow road up. We are at 1.000 m. from the town, in CAMINO DE LA UMBRIA. Attention: this is a narrow mountain road (asphalted, not in sand). There is a sign of La Almunia del Valle in the small road entrance. Have a nice trip!
