Overview

20 km from Bordeaux, between Saint Emilion and Sauternes, the Château de Castelneau welcomes you in the heart of the vineyards of the Entre-deux-Mers.
Our guest house will fill you with both the authenticity of its place and its wine, surprising and refined.

Château de Castelneau, a 14th and 15th century castle, is listed in the inventory of historical monuments.
It will charm lovers of old stones in search of an authentic past and not neglecting the modern comfort.

It is a fortified dwelling, flanked by four towers around an internal quadrangle. Castelneau is made up of several buildings, including our rental properties and B&B, La Mansion, Le Grand Seignouret and Le Petit Seignouret.

The Castelneau estate extends over about a hundred hectares, surrounded by woodlands boasting oaks, chestnuts, hornbeams and false acacias.
Whilst about forty hectares include fields of wheat, maize and even sunflowers, or lie fallow, around thirty are dedicated to vineyards of quality, twenty-three hectares of red and seven of white.

You can enjoy the peace and nature, relax by the pool in a place steeped in history.

For 9 generations in the same family, the Roquefeuil have developed this property.

Château de Castelneau is a wine estate. Guided tours and tastings are available by arrangements with the owners.
Diane and Loïc de Roquefeuil are available to welcome you all year round, for a guided tour of the estate (architecture, vineyards, winery, winetasting…) for a holiday of discovery of the world of wine.

The Château de Castelneau lies at the heart of the Entre-deux-Mers. It is located half way between the Dordogne and Garonne rivers, less than 10 miles south of St Emilion, 10 miles north of the Sauternes area and some 15 miles east of Bordeaux.
