Overview

A former 12th-century Benedictine priory nestled in Malaucène at the foot of Mont Ventoux, just a few minutes from Vaison La Romaine, Le Prieuré La Madelène is a charming guest house with an intimate atmosphere for your seminars, wellness courses, stays with friends or family, time alone or romantic getaways.

The enticing intimacy of Le Prieuré La Madelène, with its stone vaults and traditional Provençal beams, invites you to relax and let go.

This picturesque 12th– century Benedictine building full of history – which was the once property of the writer Marie Cardinal – is nestled amidst orchards resplendent with cherry, apricot and olive trees, as well as grapevines.

Hidden from view behind two stone pines, Le Prieuré awaits to be discovered. With its courtyard, its plane tree and fountain, you are unquestionably in the heart of Provence.

La Madelène has five bedrooms, a separate cottage, a meeting room, a swimming pool and several terraces.

On request (1 day before) : friday from 7:30 pm to 09:00 pm (end of service : 10:00 pm).

The menus we create combine seasonal organic products from the region for flavors with a southern touch. Our inspiration can vary depending on products available at the market, with tapenades, pissaladière, melon, ratatouille and much more.
We typically offer Mediterranean cuisine, but not only.
We can also recommend some wines selected from nearby vineyards and from other regions.
